La La singapore (Hua La)
La La are harvested along sembawang. La La are found buried under the sand. As a Result, la la has plenty of sand in its meat, BUT not ours. Our la la does not have so much sand and the reason is because after harvest, we make our clams purge on our farm. We typically hang them in a floating basket and let them purge in the running sea water. This way, not only the Razor Clam remain sandless, they have fresh oceanic taste. Lala by nature has sweet and firm meat, light steam will do.
Harvested and kept in our farm to purge out the sand thus our Dua tao has fresh oceanic taste with little sand.
